Here is a painting I did last month. It is a chocolate eclair, and it is an oil painting on wood. It is 24in. x 38in.

Your work is amazing, perfect and makes me hungry!! :) The lighting and shadows, depth of field, reflections.... the best I've ever seen.

Looking at your gallery is truly humbling!

Hmm...your works are stunning...but...what is the point of painting photos?

Hmm... because she is a photorealist? or Hyperrealist? Photorealism has been a valid art movement for nearly 50 years. Hyperrealism for a decade. Moreover artists have used visual devices and/or photographs as reference since the the 15th century. But her paintings are much more than reproductions of a photos or a reproduction of a composite of photos, look at the subtleties, ask why the excesses of oozing chocolate or jelly. Look at the sensuality of the lines. Ask yourself what more is the painting saying than just a dessert. After you do this I believe you will understand the point.
